We would like to announce the release of our newest product, Security-Pak. The concept of this product was the result of our staff here at Southern Software including Marty Zielinkski, Ronn Brigman, Mike Moody & Ben Johnson and others working closely together with many key people like Mickey Watson and Ryan King. We developed a great relationship with Mickey at Boone PD and Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC and this relationship paved the way to open communication in order to create a new product such as Security-Pak. Mickey is now the Director of Safety at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida where he wanted a product that could offer the same ease of use he was accustomed to with Police-Pak, another product in Southern Software’s suite of public safety software solutions. After numerous meetings and discussions surrounding this new product, an agreement was made in early March to start work on Security-Pak, Southern Software’s newest product named by Mickey Watson himself.

The creation of Security-Pak started out with an install of Police-Pak being evaluated after Mickey assigned Security Technology & Investigative Supervisor, Ryan King, to the development of the product. Ryan did a great job at deciding what would be needed for Sarasota Memorial, keeping in mind that this product would also be used in School settings, at Industrial Sites, and anywhere else there was a non sworn Security Department with the need for reporting.  Mickey and Ryan have spent countless hours reviewing beta versions, making suggestions, and collaborating with our programming staff. Marty Zielinksi was Southern Software’s primary programmer assigned to work on Security-Pak and has worked with Ryan and Mickey to create a product that is relevant to the needs of the agency and can be sold to such agencies as hospitals, colleges, private security campuses and others in any state.

Mickey and Ryan plan to implement Security Pak in October, and Ryan already has his initial Administrative training and has been the key player in getting the final version of Security-Pak in beta testing. We’d like to thank our staff including Marty & Ronn as well as Mickey, Ryan and their staff for all the hard work in getting this new product off the ground and we’d also like to congratulate Mickey for being named Chairman of IAHSS Region 6 (International Association of Healthcare Safety & Security.)
