We have recently received numerous inquiries regarding the “rumor” stating we have been sold to a third party. First and most important, Southern Software has not been sold nor are we in negotiations to be sold to a third party. Two and a half years ago, the employees purchased the stock from the founder and president, Nick Picerno, making Southern Software an employee owned company. Each employee has a vested interest in making sure you receive an affordable, user-friendly, state-of-the-art product coupled with competent, excellent customer service.

Many exciting things are happening at Southern Software. In July, Adam Caviness, creator of our data sharing product Rambler, was appointed our new Chief Technology Officer. In this position, Adam will be responsible for managing the entire programming staff, assigning projects and insuring they meet completion dates and deadlines.

Also in July, due to the growth and expansion of Southern Software, it was necessary to purchase the property directly adjacent to our current location. Our programmers will relocate to this new facility in mid-September.
